Police In Fairfield County Seek 'Bow-Legged' Cell Phone Store Bandit

Police in Fairfield County are looking to identify a bow-legged man who robbed multiple cell phone stores at gunpoint in the same neighborhood in the past few weeks.

Bridgeport Police are searching to identify a man who allegedly robbed at least four cell phone stores.

The "bow-legged bandit" has committed the robberies with a silver handgun in Bridgeport in the immediate area of Park Ave. and Pequonnock St. He has an extremely crooked lower left leg, said Captain Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police.

The suspect is described as a black male with a medium complexion in his mid to late 30s. He walks with a distinct gait/limp, but has been able to run from the robberies, Gilleran said.

Police believe he lives in the area.

The stores robbed include:

Dollar Tree store at 570 Pequonnock St.
Cricket Wireless at 522 Pequonnock St.,
Boost Mobile at 1020 Fairfield Ave.
Metro by T Mobile at 1681 Park Ave.
